What are the common causes of high TDS levels in boiler water?
High Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) levels in boiler water can have several causes, including:
Poor Feedwater Quality: If the quality of the feedwater is poor, high levels of TDS can be introduced into the boiler. Poor feedwater quality can be caused by a variety of factors, including high levels of dissolved minerals, organic matter, and suspended solids.
Inadequate Pre-Treatment: Inadequate pre-treatment of the feedwater can also lead to high TDS levels in the boiler. Pre-treatment processes such as filtration, softening, and reverse osmosis are designed to remove or reduce TDS in the feedwater before it enters the boiler.
